PvP

By no means 2.4 is a "PvP patch," but it does contain some high-level system changes that will have competitive players talking. By far the most momentous of these changes has to do with the seemingly-benign issue of mana regeneration in PvP. Specifically, players fighting in Arena matches were able to drink water to replenish their stores when they managed to get out of combat for a few seconds. Now, they'll have to wait an extra four seconds before the regenerative effects of drinking kick in. Needless to say, this a quite a big deal, given how much can happen in a few seconds during a match. This will probably result, ultimately, in shorter matches overall.

the headless horseman

We've had a bunch of readers ask us lately just who does the voice for the Headless Horseman -- corny poetry aside, players are really loving the laugh and timbre of the guy who doesn't even have a throat to speak with. The most common guess we've heard is Gerard Butler, star of 300, but that doesn't really compute, as Blizzard usually uses lesser known voice actors and even most of their sound crew and artists (Chris Metzen does quite a few voices, actually, including most of the Orcs in game).

WoW Recruiting
Published:admin Time:Thursday, October 23, 2008
Vox Noctis on Hyjal-A is recruiting all classes but hunters. They're working on bringing up their raiding nights from 3 to 5 nights a week. If you're interested in raiding with them in SSC and TK, look them up. Eternal Guardians on Frostmane is a casual guild that just put Kara on farm, and is recruiting all classes for 25-man raiding, specifically prot warriors, resto druids, and any type of rogues, shammies, priests, and locks. Outcasts on Lightbringer-A is seeking raiders (and they do mean raiders, not just folks wanting to hang out) to help progression past Kara and into ZA and the 25 mans.
